Hello, I am Lauren Broom and I am the owner.

A little about me.....

I am the owner of Space Coast Pool School, LLC for the past 11 years providing needed education in the pool industry.

I teach the Certified Pool Operator Course (CPO)®.

I am a certified instructor through the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance®.

I am also an Authorized OSHA 10 & 30 in General Industry Trainer.

I attended the University of Central Florida where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology.

I am currently a Registered Sanitarian (certification in public health).

I worked for the Florida Dept. of Health as a public health inspector for 17 years.

My experience at the local health dept was in many public health areas, but included the inspections of public pools, biomedical waste facilities, body piercing, tattoo establishments, food facilities and onsite sewage and disposal systems. 

I was also an integral part of the epidemiology team at my local health dept. interviewing all food-borne, water-borne and vector-borne illnesses.

I was also involved with many recreational waterborne illness and food-borne illness outbreak investigations.
